When I drive over bumps/uneven road my car is making a knocking sound. The noise sounds like it is coming from the passenger side at the front of the car. I'm getting it looked at tomorrow, but any ideas what it could be? The exhaust is a bit loose I think but I don't see that it would be causing this noise?

When I'd go over bumps, the bug deflector would move a bit and rub on those rubber pads, producing a really annoying chirping sound. Took me a while to find what was doing it. To get rid of the noise, I just stuck pieces of peel-and-stick felt pads on the bug deflector where it touches the rubber bump pads.

I know that GM (I am a GM mechanic) has issues with the steering shafts making the same noise. Now when I turn the wheel I can hear the noise and it sounds like it is coming from the steering shaft.
